When cats get older they sadly sleep a whole lot and don’t maintain their hair as well so it will naturally start to mat.. NOW, enter the super duty brush of amazingness!Finally found a brush for my senior citizen kitty that doesn’t hurt or pull too bad!! The other brush I have is efficient for mats too but pulls on her skin so bad and doesn’t cut through mats like this one. The blades are curved on this on both sides so no chance of causing discomfort to your fur baby. Mango is just a dramatic orange cat and has always hated getting brushed so she throws a fit regardless..I primarily use the side with fewer blades that is meant to help get mats out and it’s a 10/10. Miss Mango doesn’t tolerate brushing in general so while I haven’t gotten to all the mats yet, it has helped a TON with her appearance of her back that was so matted before and is now restored to its former smooth groomed glory.The other side is better for brushing out undercoat and maybe better for maintenance on longer haired cats. I tried it on mango and it did get some hair out but nothing crazy compared to the giant pile of hair you’ll see in the photo that came from just using the fewer blade side for the mats. If you have a special fur child like me that turns into a temporary bat from hell whenever it comes time for grooming of any sort, then I strongly encourage opening a can of wet cat food and letting them go ham on it while you get in the brushing so you can hold their skin to ensure there’s no pulling. Distraction is the best method!!😭😂

This is the best grooming tool I’ve ever used on my husky German Shepherd mix. She sheds all the time 24/7 and to be able brush her effectively is difficult with the other “deshedding” brushes. Her coat does not get matted, but she does have a lot of undercoat. I have several other deshedding brushes, but they just don’t work near as good as this one because they only have the “second” deshedding brush. And the first larger tooth size that you use makes all the difference. Without this it pulls her fur too much.I was already brushing with a different brush before using the old deshedding brush I had because of comfort for my baby.This is a time saver for me and she seems to enjoy this brush for the most part. And yes I still use a comb and another for her legs. But this makes the whole process much easier.She evens goes to sleep when I am brushing her. I also have a pet vacuum that I use with her and for the most part she enjoys that as well as she usually goes to sleep when I’m vacuuming her which is really funny. She’s a little apprehensive at first, but then she’s sawing logs.The 2-brush-in-one is brilliant.My dog and I both recommend this deshedding brush. It is our go to brush now.

In the past I've had those brushes where the brush portion is thin metal wires with little balls on the ends. Those work okay and are probably all you need for an animal whose fur isn't actually matted - those are fine for what they are.But this brush, holy moly, this thing is what I've needed the whole time. My cat has aggressive matting on his back above his tail and the aforementioned brush is too weak. This brush is made of sturdy metal and is incredibly effective, and the fur comes out of the brush wayyyy easier than the wire brush. I can get globs of fur out (cat's not always a fan but its good for em) and clean the brush simply pulling the fur out of the brush in the opposite direction and I'm left with zero fur on the brush at all, like the thing stays in brand new condition.Probably never had to buy a nother one after this because I don't see how it could really break.Highly reccomended.

This brush works great -- it gets all the undercoat hair you can never get with a regular brush. I wasn't prepared for the amount of fur that came off of my cats. I wanted to give this brush a 5, but my only issue is that the hair isn't contained. It builds up in the comb part, and you have to keep pulling it out to continue. I had hair everywhere -- floating in the air and so on. By the time I had only half-finished, there was enough hair to make a whole other cat. It got all the hair off the cats, though, and they didn't mind it at all. Saved me a ton of money at the groomer.

The second furbowl of ‘25 was a rough one. The first furbowl was bad enough, and this was a repeat of that seasonal plague. It started with the heat wave. It ended in rain and sudding.It was unexpected. It was nuanced. It came with more than just fur: itchy eyes… sneezing… emotional conflict. And this time, she wanted cuddles.She wanted belly rubs. She wanted me to pet her between her eyes until she fell asleep. Elated, I followed my orders. The once clean sheets were covered in black fur. That’s when the histamine attacked.It attacked hard and without mercy. Mucus ran through the streets. Chaos followed. That’s when the rains came. Then the sudding started. Infighting began and neighbor fought neighbor. After a long battle, the worst was finally over. But the rains won’t come again for another few weeks. In the meantime, we preserve. We deshed to prevent the next furbowl and the smaller furry events.De shedding brush in pink. Get back to cuddling and spoiling your dog the way you’re supposed to.

We have a Cavalier King Charles who enjoys being brushed and I have done this most everyday because she enjoys it. I have been using a wire brush and I get a lot of hair out of her with that BUT this brush is just AMAZING.!!Just a few strokes resulted in huge puffs of undercoat all over the place.After working on her for 15 minutes , her coat was left shiny , flowing and visibly thinner Also , it doesn’t dig or poke the skin! Love this tool!I have had this tool for over a week now and I have been using it every other day . Still getting some undercoat out and we are left with a luxurious , shiny coat. The really big plus is that there are no more puff balls floating down my hallway.
