nice read
Pretty good book. Decent characters, decent storyline. Though I do prefer settings like Italy and men with a bit more style and class.

Darkness with a sliver lining
It took me a few chapters to get into this one . The darkness and sadness from both the characters was pretty deep but Iβm glad they got their HEA .

good story, but horrible editing
KU subscriptionThere is NO WAY this author is using beta readers or proofreaders, even though she acknowledges them. She even thanks people for creating βeditsβ, but honestly I donβt see that theyβre helping. There are so many missed words, improperly used punctuation, continuity errors, incorrect words used.Word weirdness like ββ¦,only mustered me with his keen amber eyesβ. Used βstaggeredβ for walked. Sounded like people were drunk. Typos galore. Dogs βbarring their teethβ. βI moved closer and put his ear to the door.β Used βsackβ instead of βsagβ among several others of that type.In one place, the MMC, Growl, indicates that someone was killed AFTER Growlβs throat was cut. A little bit later in the book, Growl says that the person was killed BEFORE Growlβs throat was cut.She needs to learn how to use a comma. She kept putting it after a few words where none was needed. For an author who makes thousands of dollars off people reading her books, this is such a sign of disrespect. I read this author because I like her mafia stories, but I wouldnβt pay $.99 for one of them.I give it 3 stars because it is average. If the book were cleaned up, I would give it 4 stars because it would be pretty good in this genre. But there are other authors out there who actually try and give readers some respect, and I save 4 and 5 for them.I cannot believe she cannot find better beta readers and proofreaders. The ones she does have are either not reading the book and just telling her itβs fine or they are just that terrible.

UNFORGETTABLE IN MY BOOK!
This book wasn't what I expected but I have to say I fell in love with the characters by the end of the story. There was a moment when I asked myself if I wanted to continue reading because in the beginning I wasn't sure but I adore this author and her talent and felt I owed it to her to give it a chance. I'm so glad I did. It wasn't in the same realm as the rest of the series but I believe it was the beginning of her building it to go somewhere else in her next books. I'm actually excited about the possibilities of where this story will lead us as readers. This story has a beauty and the beast feel to it. The male main character, Growl, is called a monster and, to be honest, this is why I wanted to stop reading. The name hit too close to home for me. As a child, I was given the nickname Monster because I was considered a troubled child. I later found out the name was started by my mother and it was painful but I learned to close myself off emotionally. I think that's why I connected to this character and had to complete reading his story. Cara was curious about him but fought wanting to fall in love with him. Something I'm too familiar with also. Although the majority of people out there don't understand this type of relationship, there are some people who may be able to relate and I'm one of them. This story helped me see myself from the outside and realize I'm not to blame for the names I've been called. The story itself is a beautiful one in it's own originality and I, for one, appreciate it.Yes, this book needs better editing and proofreading. I kept in mind this story was in high demand and, considering the author was probably pressured to release this book as soon as possible, I chose to look beyond this and focus on the story itself. Bound by Vengeance was not your typical love story but I was grateful for that since so many tend to feel like the one before. This was a story about finding strength, hope and love. It was about overcoming who people believe you should be and just being yourself. It was about surviving the unthinkable and going back to your roots and living among the family you were always meant to be with. It's about love in every sense of the word. After reading this book, I stopped to ponder on what I read. So many times I read a book and move on to the next one, only to forget about the one I just read. It's been a few days and I still can't stop thinking about it. I remember what the story was about. I remember the characters and the way I felt while I was reading. To me, that is an accomplishment in itself. This book is one of the unforgettables for myself and I'm excited about what is next. Thank you, Cora Reilly.

Meh
The book it is not bad, but not good to. The previous books, the theme Outfit and Famiglia mobs are more connected for the saga.I don't understood the connection from this book to the others. At the end is when knew the connection with the New York Italian mob.Even I don't understood why the Cara's father traits the Camorras mob.All the connections are very bad.

Growl & Cara Dark desires
Cara has been raised to be the perfect mafia daughter. Her father has been working for the Camorra all her life and Falcone is his boss and is feared by everyone. Cara is now engaged and is finally coming out to attend social events. When she is at her debut party she sees the man everyone calls Growl and she canβt believe the desire and strange sensation she has when heβs around her. He is dangerous and definitely a monster but Cara canβt help these emotions within.Growl knows he will never have a woman like Cara she is too pure, too good, too beautiful but everything about her is mesmerizing and he wants her of course but she will never be his. That is until her father betrays the Camorra Falcone gives Cara to Growl as punishment from her fathers actions.Cara canβt believe she being given away as a gift to a man like Growl. She doesnβt know what to do but she has to go with him because if not sheβd be killed.Their relationship is strange but there is a need they both have and if they give into each other the results will be explosive! This story is filled with angst, violence, betrayal, love, & devotion! Growl & Caraβs story is one you will thoroughly enjoy. Happy Reading!!

Loved Growl
I don't understand how this book has the lowest rating in the series. I admit I initially skipped this book and went straight to book 6 but I'm so glad I went back and read this. Growl has had some horrific stuff happen to him from the age of five so I completely understand why he is the way he is. Cara coming into his life (even if it wasn't in the best way) completely broke down his walls and made him realize he does deserve happiness with someone and he isn't meant to face the rest of his life alone.Fantastic Read and I'm glad I chose to read Growls story.

Great Mafia book with thrilling storyline and intriguing characters
Updated review + rating after the book was re-published:First of all let me emphasize how much I've loved and enjoyed this addictive series. I've been hooked on it since the first book. Thanks to Cora Reilly's amazing writing I immersed myself completely in the cruel, merciless and bloody world of the Mafia. I loved the thrilling storylines which often made me gasp, scream and cry. The heroes are complex and multi-layered. They are in equal parts good and bad guys you can't but fall madly and deeply for despite their flaws. The heroines are no doormats. They may be physically weaker but they are strong and resilient in their own ways and thus should never be underestimated. The old version of Bound by Vengeance was in dire need of good editing because of many grammar and spelling mistakes and switching between POVs in the middle of a chapter. These mistakes have all been rectified in the new version. Some scenes were rewritten and more detailed and certain dialogues were extended thus giving the book more structure und depth. Cora's decision to take the book down in order to revise it was definitely a very smart move that paid off.Cara is the oldest daughter of a respected Camorra family. She has lead a sheltered and prestigious life. Cara is predestined to become the wife of a highranked Mafia member and the mother of his children. But instead of that she is given to Growl as a punishment for her father's sins and betrayal. A fate worse than death. Now she is an outcast to the society she once belonged to. And what she wants is revenge. Growl is the Las Vegas Mafia leader's best and most feared assassin. Born as an unwanted bastard child he had to face a life full of suffering and torture. But this didn't break him, on the contrary. It made him strong, ruthless and cold blooded - a monster. Growl knows that some things are simply not in the cards for him. That's why he is content with a simple life and the leftovers he has been given. Until the moment his boss throws a precious gift at his feet - the beautiful and innocent Cara. A princess with porcelain skin, soulful eyes and hair like silk. A noble woman he could only have admired from afar is now his to take. They were sure that he is going to break her. What they didn't know was that Cara is going to awake a part of Growl he thought he has lost forever.I absolutely adore Cara. She is a courageous, smart and caring young woman. I loved that she spoke her mind freely and wasn't the usual obedient and demure daughter of a mobster. Although Growl was intimidating she didn't shy away from him. Cara wanted to get to know him and to understand what made him the ruthless and feared Enforcer of the Camorra. Growl has such a tragic and sad past. Your heart is going to break for him when you find out what he went through. But behind that brutal facade hides a man still capable of compassion who thinks that he is undeserving of love and happiness which couldn't be more far from the truth. Cara was fighting her physical attraction to Growl at the beginning but when she discovered the real man behind the tattoos and scars she wasn't able to protect her heart from falling for him.Reading this story after it has been re-edited felt very different from the first time. It finally seemed like the potential of it has been fully exploited. It made me so happy that Cora gave us a short but super sweet epilogue which was unfortunately totally missing in the first version. It was all in all a great and highly entertaining read that evoked a myriad of emotions inside of me. I'm thankful that Cora Reilly has decided to revise Cara and Growl's book because they deserved nothing less than a story worth 5 stars!

intriguing
I liked it, i feel like i saw the characters grow together really nicely, despite some parts where i felt like cara needed a backbone other than that i liked the book.

I loved reading about Growl & Cara both were from completely different worlds but somehow fit beautifully together. Coraβs writing has once again brought me all the feels and I finished this book in one sitting. The slow burn in this one was absolutely delicious, and the chemistry was sinful. I enjoyed every moment of this storyβ€οΈβ’Growl is exactly as Cora describes him in the label heβs a monster. He has no emotion, no feelings no nothing. He is set to kill and that is all. He doesnβt understand what it means to to be human, heβs never seen anything close to compassion or love in his lifetime. Growl is sent in to slaughter Falcone his Capos enemyβs and upon this visit he is gifted his biggest reward Cara. βI was her punishment, a fate worse than death, a way to deliver the ultimate punishmentβ Growl was to break Cara as part of her fathers punishment this wasnβt a gift.. this was a death sentence. With Cara now in his home, in his life will she find a way into his heart and make him care not only for her but for himself? This man has no self confidence and my heart broke for him at times. He was a truly beautiful man who was dealt some of the worst cards in life. But maybe finally letting someone in will be Growlβs saving grace, or will this be his ultimate doom?β’I really enjoyed Caraβs character at the beginning it was very stock-home syndrome but soon morphs into so much more.. she doesnβt understand how she could feel so much for this man who now holds her captive. She misses her mom and sister and has no idea where theyβre. Maybe if she can convince growl to truly trust and care for her he will take her to them, but along the way does she lose her self to the man behind the scars and mask?β’4.5βοΈ
