Great breadmaker
Overall I’m happy with this basic breadmaker, being my first breadmaker. I was disappointed with the results at first but after varying the recipes I am now happy and the bread is delicious. The size of the loaves are a little small but for my wife and I, generally a loaf will last us two days.My general recipe for this machine for a 50/50 loaf is as follows, added in this order:285ml water30g unsalted butter250g Sainsburys whole meal flour250g Sainsburys strong white bread flour1 teaspoon salt (in one corner)1 heaped tablespoon soft brown sugar (in the opposite corner)1 1/4 teaspoon yeast. (Sprinkled over the opposite half to the salt and sugar)Then put it on program 1, medium crust and the 800g loaf size setting.Turns out great every time. The delay function is useful and it is nice to come down to the smell of freshly baked bread in the morning.

Works perfectly well
Bought this bread maker to make my own bread for lunch sandwiches and it didn’t disappoint. It’s easy to operate and comes with a little booklet with recipes for various types of bread. I’ve tried most of them now and don’t have any complaints. The only thing worth mentioning is that the proofing time will vary based on the temperature of your kitchen. I have large windows so I found that during the winter I had to actually turn the machine off just before it starts baking and leave it to ensure the bread rise enough. It’s no issue as I just turn it back on to just the bake setting and an hour later my bread is done. Really good value machine!

Basic entry level breadmaker, but not bad
I've only ever used entry level breadmakers before and they work fine enough for me. Thought I would try this as it adds a seed tray and a good set of programs.Build quality is average and the lid feels a little loose, but no real issues so far.I've used the simple loaf recipe and got very good results. The gluten free recipe is useless, so you will want to find a recipe online. Used it for mixing Hokkaido milk loaf dough, and that came out perfectly. Performs well. Is a little quieter than a Morphy Richards one, but will still genrate some noise.Have used it a couple of times a week for about a month now and am quite pleased with it.

Loose bread pan.
Used this machine several times and it produced good bread albeit small loaves and very noisy in operation. It was only when I used the machine to mix dough that I realised it wasn’t working properly. Each time the machine starts to mix the ingredients the bread pan jumps off its base and with stiffer mixtures the mixing blade does not turn at all, hence no dough.Investigation on the internet showed that this is a common problem and magnets seemed to be the solution. I purchased some magnets at an extra cost of £12 and with these fitted the machine does now work satisfactorily. Why do the manufacturers continue to sell a product that needs to be mended before use?

Useless bread maker.
I don’t know whether we had a duff machine but it did not produce edible bread. It was stodgy and the blades were stuck inside the ‘loaf’. We tried four times using different bread flour and it was rubbish. It was returned for a full refund.

As you would expect, all the functions of a good bread maker
This is the fifth bread maker I have owned and as stated, it does have all the key features, functions and programmes you will need to make homemade bread, jam and cakes. This ACUMA is quieter than those I have owned previously not that this was ever a concern before but what did surprise me was that not only is it slightly smaller it was considerably more lighter. The large, much larger, ingredients dispenser is a major plus. If I had one criticism it would be that the hinges on the lid are a little flimsy although I do not see this as an issue as they are fit for purpose.

Just not great.
Had a few bread makers, so do know what I'm on about, this makes a loaf. It's just not great at all. The lid wobbles, doesn't always close properly,it makes a grinding noise every use. Wish I hadn't brought it.

Good quality at a Great Price!
Never tried bread making before, but lockdown brings all sorts of opportunities. :-)Bought all the ingredients after I ordered the bread machine. Watched a couple of YouTube vids on bread making and decided to go with one from 'Baking Mad'. Unpacked the bread machine as soon as it arrived, rinsed the bits that were going to be in contact with the bread mixture and then cracked on with it. Followed her recipe and method exactly and had a perfect fresh loaf ready for sandwiches at lunchtime. My wife was amazed! Made two more before then end of the evening - also perfect. Not going to do my waistline any good probably, so I guess the dogs will be getting longer walks! :-D It does all sorts of recipes including gluten free.All-in-all a brilliant machine for the money, I'd certainly recommend it.
