Blue Spot 25701 24 x 16-inch Framing Square

For the price you can't really complain. Seems accurate enough (both in squareness and the measurement scales), and was even well packaged and arrived without damage. Only objection is the paint/coating is quite soft and scratches easily, and the measurement scales are just painted on (so will wear off). I was hoping this would be aluminium as suggested by at least one commenter but the one I received is definitely painted steel.

Excellent square edge but mine arrived bent, was sorely disappointed as the square itself is excellent quality, the measurements are easy to read and you can see the quality in the manufacturing of the product. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again if I was guaranteed it would be better protected in the postal service, as it was very vulnerable in its packaging when it arrived . Better padding and card around it would have helped tremendously.

This is let down by the fact the markings are or appear to be painted on or a stick on printed sheet. Would have liked them to have been etched/engraved in to the metal. Bought at the same time as an aluminium one, tested each against the other and appear to be accurate - any discrepancies are difficult to determine. Should have bought years ago.Amazon went over the top with the size of box and amount of brown paper packaging. Driver didn't wait to see if I was in to take the package - just drove away...

Its not a long way out, but it's only real job or reason for existing is TO BE SQUARE, and it's not quite. Bit disappointing but then its didnt cost much so there you go.Spend a few more quid and you might get one which actually square.

For the price this is fantastic, very sturdy I've seen exactly same thickness for treble the price, it don't feel flimsy but if you was gonna chuck it off a scoffold I suspect that most would break
