Q: how many can you make?

I really do not remember the exact number. It seemed like she kept making tons and tons. I think over 10???? There are more pictures than there are charms and chains. Amazon sells the charms and chains separate if you want to keep making more. The kit was well worth thr price.

Q: Do instructions come in Spanish?

I should clarify — I had this sent to my granddaughter who lives in another state. So I never saw the instructions to know if they were bilingual.

Q: is this suitable for a 5 1/2 year old to do on her own?

hello Nancy, we suggest to have adult assistance for children below 8 year old. The crafting activity involves scissors cutting and use of craft glue

Q: Would this work for a six year old?

I do not know. I sent it as a gift for 10-year-old. No feedback from them yet.
