Loved this!
This review is going to be a little hard for me to write because in some ways I feel like I'm being unfaithful to my favorite couple, Luca and Aria. :( But this book was incredible and in some ways even more so than the first book. Having said that, Luca and Aria are still my favorite, next would be Lily and Romero.Things I didn't like: I didn't really care for the scenes with their mother dying. Don't get me wrong, it was sad and necessary to the plot. I am just not a fan of storylines where someone is ill and dying. It feels dark in a way that I don't like. But it was well written. The story from the beginning of Lily and Romero has always interested me because it's a great plot with the younger girl and her crush. It's unrequited love that eventually comes around. Very romantic. So that already had me. Romero is so far the most hopeless romantic male of the series, at least in a traditional sense. We get to see him be willing to risk it all, even down to his life because of his love for Lily. He was a made man in every sense and yet still the most kind and openly affectionate with her from the start, of any male of this series. How could you not fall for him and get all swoony over this story?I felt at first like Lily was being immature and a bit selfish by purposely causing so much trouble for the New York family after they had taken her in. But in the end, it's just a story about romance and we all got the dreamy and romantic ending we were looking for.Even though it's predictable that it's a love story with a HEA, it wasn't predictable how it would all work out and that kept me interested and glued to the pages.Their dad is a disgusting pile of crap and I really hope we get more books because the ending of this really felt like just a beginning. What comes of the all out war now? What happens with their dad? Will any of them have kids?? I would love to see them handle parenthood in this world. So many questions after the end of this story.I have mixed feelings about Aria after this. On one hand, I feel like she sometimes uses the fact that Luca can't resist her to do whatever she wants and get away with it. It's like when you work somewhere and they give you an employee discount just for yourself but you let all your friends use it. After what happened with Gianna and her betrayal I thought it was worth it and she did the right thing by her sister. But after that, for her to do it again with Lily feels wrong. He gives her a pass for herself because he loves her and she forces him to use that for anyone she chooses. Not that they aren't good reasons that she has, it just feels a little like manipulation. Plus, I liked that even though he loved her he didn't sanitize himself. On the other hand, in the first book, she was always the one to be the most like a push over and she is the only of the sisters that didn't have her husband love her at the start, so maybe she deserves a few rebellious times? We didn't see as much of Gianna and Matteo as I would have liked, but it was still enough. I liked seeing everyone doing well as a couple. I really hope the author continues and gives us more. There's so much more to know.

Predictable, But Entertaining
The fourth book in the 'Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles' series, 'Bound in Temptation' is the story of Liliana and Romero. If you've read the books in this series in order, you probably remember Lily as Aria and Gianna's younger sister. You probably also remember the crush that she's always had on Romero, the older soldier that is Aria's bodyguard and one of Luca's most trusted men.Liliana is growing up and is no longer the child that Romero remembers. Despite his best attempts, he can no longer ignore the beautiful young lady that she has become. She hasn't grown out of her infatuation with Romero over the years, she's only become more determined to have him.Initially, there is a lot of push and pull between Lily and Romero. She keeps coming on to him. He keeps turning her down, while he secretly fantasizes about what it would be like to have her.Romero does his best to stay loyal to The Family. He's never wanted anything other than being a loyal soldier, until Lily. Now, he's forced to betray his heart or betray his vows. I think you can guess what he'll choose. He is only a man, after all.I love a forbidden love story, so this one was right up my alley. Add in a dangerous guy with serious bad-boy appeal and I'm hooked! It's no wonder that I loved Lily and Romero's story. While I don't want to give too much away, I will say that Lily surprised me with her strength. As the youngest sister, she was always portrayed as the silly little girl that was left out of the grown-up conversations before. She definitely came into her own in this book. Honestly, she was kind of a little bad-ass.Similarly, I really came to appreciate Gianna in this book. While Aria seemed more submissive and happy to be the good little wife to Luca, Gianna wasn't afraid to stir things up on behalf of her little sister. I absolutely loved Gianna in this book!Despite the fact that the story was predictable and like many other mafia romances out there, I didn't care. If it works, it works. This book worked for me. I enjoyed every minute and I don't feel guilty for it.The only downside to this story was that there was a large amount of grammatical errors. Incorrect word usage, misspellings and other elementary grammar oversights were pretty common. It was a bit distracting at times. For such a popular series and author, I'd expect the editing to be much better.Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was predictable, but entertaining. I was left feeling happy and contented. With war on the horizon for the New York and Chicago organizations, I'm curious to see where the next book in the series will lead.

wowwwwww
Loved this story line. I love me some forbidden romance. At first I had a hard time because I felt like I could only see Lily as a little girl (because of the other books) but as time went on I definitely could see her as an 18 yr old. 10/10, 5 stars

Beautiful
This is my second time reading this series. Lilliana had 2 sisters one who did her duty and married and fell in love after and one who ran away before being caught. Lilliana mother told her on her death bed to fight for happiness. Lilly had a crush on the soldier, Romero. He was too low rank for her father to even consider him. Instead she was to marry a very old man. Would she risk everything for love.

Good read….4 Stars!
Romero and Liliana’s love story. She is the youngest sister of Aria and Gianna who are married to the Valletti brothers, the capo and consigliere of the Mafia crime Famiglia in New York. She is in Chicago and being the obedient daughter of their father. She was with their mother during her final days after she diagnosed with cancer. Exhausted after her mother’s funeral, she neglected to care for herself and fainted at home. Their concerned father agreed to send her to NY to be with her sisters. Romero is the personal bodyguard of Aria, a very important task as she is the wife of the capo. Liliana is the temptation he can’t get out of his mind. She’s young and beautiful and her flirting never stops until he can’t control his wants. He’s a mere soldier in the mafia’s ranking so she is out of her league. She can’t have her. Can these two people get together eventually in the name of love?

Romero, Romero, rescue me ?
Liliana and Romero’s love story was one I anticipated the most. It’s all about the details… in the previous books we get to see Liliana’s crush develop and it was so cute! Of course, as times goes by, the crush evolves from something innocent to something more hmmm tempting indeed. I have to recognise by man, Romero did a nice work fighting his desires and oh my! Once Lily and Romero’s relationship finally starts, I couldn’t have been happier. The tension is so yummy! I liked how hot it was how the two sneaked around, there’s always a bit of fun when it comes to the forbidden.Gosh, towards the ending I couldn’t stop because a looooot happened. I was rooting for Lily and Romero and dang, they worked everything out and looked like such baddies while doing it.The Scuderi sisters are legendary, that’s for sure.

the best forbidden romance I have read
I have never enjoyed reading a forbidden romance as much as this one. I think they are the purest couple in this saga. It's really a universe full of surprises that does us as much harm as good. Romero became my favorite thanks to his loyalty and his crazy character. It is a romance so endearing and so intense that we can only love them.

Favorite!
Doing a reread of the series after so long, and seeing I have no review for this book pains me so here we go:Easily my favorite of the series! Pretty sure this reread was just to get to these two. While Luca and Aria are the ultimate mafia couple, Romero and Lily are the couple we needed in this series. Age gap, forbidden romance…. I loved Romero’s struggle in this one. His struggle to do right but wanting who he wants is hard. I love the development in their story, but only wished for a longer book. It went too quick! I can’t wait for more of these two in the anthology. I think a child would do well for them. They’re definitely the type, and I want to see Romero’s protectiveness over a little child.

Really great!
I'm loving these series so much! The story of Lilly and Romero is exciting, suriprising, hot, tragic and hopeful, the whole story is. I really liked the interaction between the Scuderi sisters and the Vitello brothers, and Romero is great too.All the characters have a different personality and are very well portrayed. Matteo and Gianna are still my favourites.Things are getting really hot, dangerous and interesting between Chicago and New York. I'm going with Bound by Love next.
