VHT SP670 Gloss Black Roll Bar and Chassis Paint Can - 11 oz.

Used it to paint exhaust tips. been 4 weeks and it's held up well so far.

Sprays great, looks good but very runny. I know what I'm doing and I still get runs unexpectedly. Not sure why, gotta be the paint.

I usually use Duplicolor to paint my frames. Decided to give this VHT Rollbar paint a try. I have properly prepped ( degreased, wet sand 320 - 400 grit sand paper, cleaned and prep solved the frame , allowed to dry) and painted this frame three times now, each time spraying as directed. First was my bad, found some fiah eyes and sanding scratches. Wet sanded the frame and preped it again. Second time found some fish eyes in another spot. Wet sanded the whole frame down and preped it again. This time the first and second coat went on perfect... the final coat....the paint is wrinkling up all over. I have done many motorcycle frames this same way, never had to waste this much time allowing it to dry a week, just to go over the whole thing again. Strike three your out VHT Roll bar paint. I have used VHT products before without issue. Not a good value if it doesnt work. The first two coats applied are nearly clear, no matter how long you shake the can. The third coat barely colors the surface. It says " no need for primer" . With color coverage like this, it needs a primer.

They aren't kidding on the cure time, but nothing beats a good gloss paint on a roll cage
