I've ordered twice so far. Quite a good value for the price. The packaging is worlds better than the plastic box or tin covered in shrink wrap that seem to be the order of the day for comparably (i.e. similarly low-)priced saffron from other brands.No complaints about quality or taste, but I'm favorably impressed with both. Or rather, since I'm not really qualified to decide that, I'm glad to see that my first impressions of a high-quality and highly tasty saffron are of a piece with reviews by people who do claim to be qualified to so decide. It reinforces the vague feeling that I've stumbled upon a bargain.

Authentic, fresh, vibrant red threads of saffron. Came in a small corked jar. I was a little skeptical because this is a fairly large amount of saffron for the price. However no funny business here. This is 100% saffron. So far it's lasted for over a year.

seems authentic, a little goes a long way. It makes me want to explore Indian cooking..

Saffron comes in a well packaged box in a glass jar. I used it the night I got it to make a saffron cream sauce and it came out fabulous. Very affordable too. I've seen some saffron that is very expensive but this had a very good flavor to it. Very satisfied with product. Arrived on time and well packaged.

First I have to say that the Saffron came in a beautiful box, with the corked glass jar of saffron perfectly nestled inside with no possibility of breakage. The saffron was aromatic and exactly what I was hoping to receive when I ordered. For the quality, price and convenience you can't really go wrong! Would definitely buy again!

I guess you get what you pay for... in my culture and family we use saffron all the time and we use the real deal from Iran whenever a family member goes to visit they bring some back as a gift for us. Saffron is worth more than gold over there so we know good saffron when we see it. Very orangey and has an odd smell doesn’t look as potent or pigmented and certainly doesn’t smell normal either. But good to use if you have no other option and just need some to get by.

Genuine and great, but too expensive

I just received my bottle of Zaran Saffron. Opening it was like opening a package containing a real jewel. The box is lovely and has a magnet closure. Inside the box the little corked glass bottle containing 2 grams of Zaran Premium Saffron was nestled in a black foam and velvet cushion. Beautiful! If the product is given as a gift it would be an impressive one. I wonder what the larger bottles are packaged like?I haven't had a chance to cook with the saffron yet, so I can't comment on it here, but as soon as I do I'll post another review.
