Double chocolate Whey Protein powder
Firstly it mixes very well, 30secs in a shaker. Leaves no lumps and has a smooth consistency.Taste - No powdery aftertaste, just very sweet though. It is kind of like a hot chocolate with sugar . So less chocolatey than I expected. I mix with water so maybe milk would give it a more smoother finish.Nutritional content is good for one scoop. Well for my needs. 24g of protein helps me get my goal for the day.Easy to use scoop included, even though I had to dig for it.Size and price make it good value for money.I will definitely buy this brand again, but maybe look at different flavours.

Easy to mix, tasty and effective.
At my age it isn't easy to build and maintain muscle so I use this Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein to complement my exercise. It tastes great and mixes easily. I normally use a blender but on the odd occasion I've had to use a shaker it still mixed easily.I use scales that weigh body composition and I've definitely seen an increase in muscle percentage since using this product.

A Reliable and Great-Tasting Protein Powder
s someone who has tried a variety of protein powders over the years, I keep coming back to Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey, and for good reason. This product consistently delivers on quality, taste, and performance, making it a staple in my fitness routine. The Double Rich Chocolate flavour is smooth and enjoyable, without the artificial or overly sweet aftertaste that some protein powders have. It mixes effortlessly with water or milk, creating a creamy texture without any clumps, which is a huge plus when you’re in a rush or don’t want to deal with a blender. From a nutritional standpoint, each serving provides 24 grams of high-quality whey protein, along with naturally occurring glutamine and amino acids that aid muscle recovery. This makes it an excellent post-workout choice, helping to reduce muscle soreness and support lean muscle growth. The low sugar and fat content also make it a great option for those watching their macros.Another standout feature is its digestibility. I’ve had issues in the past with protein powders causing bloating or discomfort, but this one sits well with me, even when taken daily. It feels light yet filling, making it easy to incorporate into my routine without any negative side effects. In terms of value, the 899g tub with 29 servings is reasonably priced for the quality you’re getting. While there are cheaper alternatives on the market, few match the consistency and effectiveness of this product.Overall, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein in Double Rich Chocolate is a fantastic choice for anyone serious about their fitness goals. It tastes great, mixes easily, and delivers solid nutritional benefits, making it a reliable go-to for muscle recovery and overall performance.

Tasty, not too sugary and full of protein
As a newcomer to the supplement market I took a bit of a punt on this as a well reviewed item.I've been impressed by the flavour, the double Rich Chocolate flavour is really surprisingly good, especially considering how little sugar is in this. It's a bit expensive but isn't out of the norm for this type of product so I'm happy with the value given it's tasty and easy to work with i.e. no mixing issues when just shaken with water.I've not had any unexpected digestive effects from this so that's a bonus too given that was a point of concern.

Gold standard for a reason
There’s a reason this is the gold standard. Optimum nutrition really nails what a protein powder should be, easy to mix, good macros, and a good taste. If you mix it with milk it really is a like a milkshake, it doesn’t feel like something this tasty can be healthy and packed with protein. It only takes a few shakes in a regular shaker and it’s fully absorbs. The powder is soft and fluffy which makes the shake more watery than thick, this is more of a preference, but it typically leaves you feeling less bloated than some other thicker brands. The tub is big but a lot of it is empty space which they do specify in the description, but is a bit annoying storage wise.If you mix this with their creatine, it completely masks the grittiness of it which is a bonusIt is on the more expensive side for protein considering it’s a purchase you’ll probably have to make often, but you really do get what you pay for, can’t fault the powder at all.
