54" wide Quilters Pre-Shrunk Calico Fabric - per metre

I tend to not leave reviews but felt I needed to address the balance of all the good reviews for this calico. I purchased it from Classic and Modern Fabrics. The calico is awful. They've obviously bought cheap calico, cut it into pieces, shoved it in a washing machine, dried it and folded it up and sent it out! It looks used, like your duvet covers look after months of use and washing, it's full of wrinkles, just like anything that comes out the washing machine before it's ironed. It's horrendous, unusable, and a rip off. I wanted it to make gifts! There's no way I can with this, the recipienrs would think I've used old curtain lining or something. Next time I stick with my quality heavy weight calico and I'll wash it muself, which by the way is cheaper and wider than this supposed quality calico.

For the price this fabric is well worth it. It handles like a dream and after washing it is as states pre-shrunk. I tested it and was not disappointed.

A really nice fabric to work with:firm but able to be hooped easily,smooth and without those little bits you get on some (cheaper) calico.

An excellent fabric. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again although it did take a while to be delivered
