Fun electronic spelling game for young kids
The media could not be loaded. This is a well made and durable electronic spelling game with 2 modes which have 2 levels each. You need to find the missing letter to make the correct word. There's a clear American voice and easy to read screens showing the words and letters. My 6 year old loves reading and enjoyed it, finding it quite easy. Therefore I would recommend it for primary school age only as it wouldn't be challenging enough for older kids. So overall a great little gadget to help kids with their spelling in a fun way!

Good simple game, shame it's not rechargeable.
The media could not be loaded. The Sight Word Slam game is a great tool for building essential reading and spelling skills for kids. While it may seem a bit outdated without USB charging, the two game modes are simple and engaging. As a dyslexic who knows how painful it can be for a kids to learn, I think this could be a confidence-boosting way for young learners to practice sight words and phonics in a hands-on, interactive way. Overall, a solid educational game, if a bit basic. It may also be an encouraging tool for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities.

Definitely improves spelling and vocabulary
Product is of good quality, nice size and lovely design, easy for little hands to handle. It seems quite educational, encouraging word recognition. The kids love it and still use it daily. Very happy. Item is well built so hopefully it will last.Have been using it for a month or so, I’m pretty sure this is going to enhance children’s reading, spelling and vocabulary. Definitely recommend.

Short-lived fun
Before you get started on this toy – you have to own a very small Phillips screwdriver in order to remove the battery casing. If this is a present for a child, make sure you have one or they will be disappointed – the lid is very securely screwed down! Obviously, also make sure you have 3 AAA batteries, which are not included in the pack.A female voice with an American accent starts you off – Let’s play Sight Word Slam! – followed by music. The tests are very simple – they won’t keep a young child challenged for too long. The sound isn’t quite clear enough – this, coupled with the American accent, makes the game quite tricky. I got one simple word wrong – “is” because it sounded just like “in”.When a game is complete, the voice tells you “Great Jaarb” or similar congratulation. The pronunciation is also a bit inconsistent…. I noticed that the word “better” is spoken with a very deliberate English “t” pronunciation, whilst the announcement of “Ledder slaam” is back to American. So, young children will enjoy this, but they learn so quickly and there is nowhere to go once they get to grips with these simple games. This feels rather like an educational toy of 20 or so years ago.

Brilliant tool.
This is a fanatic resource for choosing time. The game is fun and educational but has really helped improve my son’s formation of words. Would recommend.

Good interactive toy - Easy to use - Great for groups
This learning resources toy makes it easy to start thinking about spelling and can be a really effective way to get your child sinking about how to spell. The quality of the unit is excellent and the LCD display screens are easy to read and clear. you can even use it to play in groups and could definitely incorporate it into fun activities or games for groups of children.

Fun little game for younger children
The media could not be loaded. This is a quite basic electronic word game for younger children. It takes three times AAA batteries (not supplied) and there are just 2 game modes : word slam or letter slam, and each game has two difficulty levels.Gameplay consist of trying to identify the word that pops up in the centre of the screen or identify the missing letter. There are three coloured paddles and each one shows a letter or a word and you press the matching one. That’s it. simple. It’s very easy to use, although pronunciation is sometimes not very clear and I think younger children might struggle to understand what the electronic voice is saying. It doesn’t feel very sturdy or particularly well-made and it’s a little more underwhelming for £20 as it just feels a little plasticky. however it performs just fine.
