Good value compared to cost
This base fit my compact Makita router and worked well with Porter Cable hinge mortising jig.Much easier than using full size router

Great!
Works perfectly. Mounts easily to any router and is easy to center with the included centering pin. Holds my inserts correctly centered.

Quality product with good features for a good price. Just minor issue with it.
The idea here was of course to create a larger surface for the router base that will accept a plethora of trim routers. And it does that very well. Particularly at a very good price point. In addition, this base lets you use router bushings, that many trim router bases will not accept. The base is see-through so that one can follow the routing path. The horns are ergonomic and feel great in the hand. Overall, this router base works very well and adds a lot of functionality to typically much smaller and less versatile stock router bases. My only complaint is that when using a handheld cordless router that typically is very top heavy, the router base flexes a tiny bit given it two-piece design. Not in a way that it flexes when routing, but more when handling the router when setting it on the work piece. With a little care and knowing this, one can prevent any negative results from the flexing.I recommend this quality product with good features at a good price point.

This is a great value
I got this to use with my Ryobi trim router (PCL424). This base is a great fit. The only issue I found was that the screws for the Ryobi base plate have pretty small heads (a Ryobi thing not a Milescraft thing). The slots on this base are relatively wide. It did mount up. But, I was concerned that it was not well supported. My fix was to add a small washer to each screw. With that small modification it's a great fit for the Ryobi. The handles make controlling the router a breeze, something the stock base lacks. This base accepts standard "Porter Cable" style guide bushings allowing the use of cutting templates or inset kits. That's something else The standard base doesn't do and something some competing bases also don't support (even at higher cost). The kit includes 2 centering pins that can be screwed into the base and allow for easy centering of the cutter in the workpiece. There is also a centering tool included to make sure the base is centered on the router. It's easy to use and results in your base being centered easily every time. The price at $20 is a good deal.

This thing is awesome!
I'm not one to write reviews but I wanted the right one on this to try to help people out. I don't understand why there would be any negative reviews. I installed this on a Ridgid Palm router. It is awesome. I could have made one. I am handy enough to make my own. But for 20 bucks why bother? I don't see how it can't fit on any Palm router because two of the four mounting spots are adjustable and they move to whatever position you want them to be. The other reviews are correct. You will need washers because the screws barely grab The sides. The opening for the router bit is quite small. It comes with a centering tool but was useless to me because I wanted to make the hole bigger what I did and maybe it's not safe but it worked is I got the biggest round over a bit that I had installed it into the router and slowly adjusted the router down until it pushed completely through. I did it very slowly because I didn't want to break it. It it is even better now that I could put bigger bits in it

Depends upon what you need it for!!!!
I was excited to add this to my Wen 1460 Trim Router, as that is a great router with a too small base plate. Mounting it was a little bit of a juggling act, and it only will mount on 3 of the 4 holes, but it got on fairly firmly. And then I saw the issue: The base is sturdy enough if you want to engrave, or even cut dados. But My primary use for a trim router is edge round-overs or profiling, and for that, this base is FAR too flexible! The Wen is corded (so no heavy battery) and weighs 3.75 lbs. Putting the mounted plate/router on the edge of a workpiece, you can see the whole base slightly bend from the weight of the router, and the least bit of pressure on the router top will make the unsupported edge of the base plate dip down a good 1/2" or more!!!! That will definitely result in an uneven and possibly ruined profile edge on your workpiece.Sadly, I am returning it, and will find a more sturdy, solid plexi sub base.

Fantastic upgrade for my Ryobi PCL424 compact router.
Fits my Ryobi PCL424 perfectly (which has mounting holes 56mm apart on all sides, square). However the screws that come with my router have a button head that is a little too narrow for the tracks in this sub base so I purchased some truss head M4x8mm screws and they work perfectly. The original screws "worked" but I worried with the smaller bite into the plastic they would crack the plastic edges if tightened too much. Tiny washers might also work but I didn't have any.As for performance, this sub base checks all the boxes I wanted: 1) larger surface area for stability, 2) large and convenient handles for better control, 3) removable mortise pins for accurate mortising/centering over edges. My only complaint is that the centering bit doesn't guarantee exactly centered mounting unless you're extremely careful. I would have preferred a pin and circular insert (my circle jig comes with one). Would give this 4.5/5 if I could because of that one issue.Overall a fantastic upgrade for my router.

Its more me than the product
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The screw holes for the handles werent there so i just drilled holes. (I waited to long to return it) it's transparent so that's good.
