The Book of Unusual Knowledge

I was hesitant to purchase because it was for my HR at work's birthday. i wanted to purchase something meaningful. mind you she was turning 80. birthday girl was at first surprise that i got her a book. but when i explained the purpose she loved the idea. The book is a hard cover book, great quality. and the price was even better.The purpose The oak tree is the symbol representing strength, wisdom, and endurance, values. Also something to pass on. She loved it. i will be buying more books

I bought this as a gift for my unusual son who enjoys being the most knowledgeable guy in the room. He got kicked out of the kitchen within the first hour of owning it for obsessively reading aloud to his annoyed wife. He then took it to work, and there it sits on his desk: everyone who comes into his office must first listen to an unusual factoid. He loves it, and I hope his other humans can forgive me.

A wonderful and exceptional gift for anyone! Especially those who may be immobile or disabled. It offers relief from a medical situation and it's fun for all! My father in law is extremely intelligent but in bad medical shape so books are his fun. This one is keeping him entertained and helping to pass the time. Well made and very interesting!

"The Book of Unusual Knowledge" indeed. I thought it would have more random facts, but mostly just strange stories of mostly vague historical figures. It's a lightweight book, so you won't have to worry too much about when you have to move. The pages seem fine, although, the hardcover is a little bit light for what you may expect a hardcover to be. That being said, for the ~$10-$15 it's not a bad read. You don't feel obligated to keep reading and reading, because the stories end well before 300 pages, so you'll find it easy to put down when you need to.

This is an interesting book definitely worth the price.

This was a great gift for my step-father. He likes to learn. Even unusual things.

Wasn't as interesting as I expected sadly but I'm hoping the person who it's a gift for will be more interested in it. I do like the format and the big easy to read print.
