Fussy kitten ate it all! No issues
The media could not be loaded. My 5 month kitten has been so fussy recently and we have tried so many different brands, but she just hasn't been eating anything. She was just about eating supermarket store brands, but even then not much of it. I wanted to try her on more healthy/more meaty brands, however she has also turned her nose up at most of these. She loves my other cat's current brand and tried to steal it all the time, but unfortunately it isn't kitten friendly, whereas this one is.I gave her this as soon as it arrived and she ate all of it! Usually we only put half a tin down with dry food also, but I refilled it with the rest of the tin as she hadn't been eating. Finished it all and the plate has been licked clean :D Very happy! She is wearing a cone in the video due to being spayed, but her eating has been the same even before the spay, I even had to mention it to the vet incase it would affect the op.I have also seen some reviews stating the jelly was cloudy, or that the tin opener broke off, but we have had no issues with the tin, and the jelly doesnt appear too cloudy - pic included with half the food taken out of it as I had just given my kitten some.I will give a further update if we encounter any issues going forward with it.

Cat-Approved
The Scrumbles Wet Cat Pâté Classic Selection (6 x 80g) was a hit with my cat! He really enjoyed all the flavours, and I appreciate that it's made with natural, gut-friendly ingredients. The texture is smooth and easy to serve, and it didn’t upset her stomach. A good option if you're looking for something a bit healthier and still very tasty for your furry friend.

Very overpriced but good for digestive recovery
This is basically one step away from feeding your cats caviar and lobster thermidor but it is great food, if seriously overpriced. I use it from time to time as a treat, especially when one cat or another has had a digestive issue -- they add slippery elm which really does help the gut recover e.g. when I adopted a cat with giardia. Given the price, however, you can get other high quality cat food which is way more cost effective. The main selling point is really the slippery elm, and I've seen that sold on its own as a pet food supplement -- which would probably work out much cheaper!

Check out the recommended amount of food on website
I’ve been using Scrumbles for about a year so can give a long term review. My cat has always had liquid stools regardless of what food she had but was in good health and never seemed bothered by it. When I saw adverts I thought I would see if Scrumbles helped. To begin with it seemed great. After a couple of weeks her stools firmed up. I was giving her the normal 2 feeds a day, a tin each time. Over time she slimmed down, which she really needed to, her coat was shiny and she became more active. All good. She was always after more food. I have other cats on different food but I kept her away due to the good effects when only on Scrumbles. Gradually she got more aggressive in her attempts to eat the other cats’ food. Next vet visit she had lost a LOT more weight and the vet was concerned. I realised the Scrumbles portion sizes are actually nowhere near what she should be having! So I upped it and have been giving her 4 tins a day for 3-4 months now, and I’ve been weighing her hoping she would put some weight back on. She is only just maintaining the same weight even with doubling the amount. She is in good health, active, but still hungry.I can only conclude that there is just not enough in Scrumbles to give her the nutrition she needs. 4-5 tins a day is costing a fortune and frankly does not seem worth it. I don’t know if other people realise the amount of tins Scrumbles recommend (there’s a guide on their website) but it seems very unreliable. The guide for the chicken broth suggests 6 tins a day for a 4kg cat (not huge) and 4 tins of the meat in jelly. Different again for the pate versions. I think they should standardise their portion sizes and produce bigger tins. Who feeds their cat 4-5-6 times a day? It’s nice wholesome food but it seems like fewer poos in a day could just be because she’s not getting enough.

Quality issues need resolving
I have been feeding our cat on Scrumbles Chicken for the last 2 years without incident but we started noticing that some of the content in newer tins was cloudy, which I didn't click for ages was making him sick.Because our cat will only eat this flavour we have to buy from Sainsbury's, Pet's at Home and Amazon as there are always a limited amount of one flavour (also different retailers have different discounts)We originally found that Sainsbury's were the worst (My local store has removed Scrumbles wet cat food from their shelves) as their tins were actually bulging out and if you stacked them they would rock on the shelf if you pushed them (others were rock steady) These made our cat violently ill after a few days (it got progressively worse) with him being sick in his cat tray and excreting all over the floor. The cat food itself had no bad smells (they don't actually smell of anything which is weird) so we didn't figure it out for a couple of days but when we found some other tins we new were good - with the manufacturing date of 03/11/23 - he went onto them and things got better.Anyhoo after running out of the tins with the 03/11/23 (FYI the ones in the pictures with the clear jelly) we ordered 4x 12 tin boxes from Amazon - which had the manufacturing date of 21/07/23 - but found that they were cloudy too and when you popped the can the contents oozed out (which you don't get with the good dates and proves the contents are going bad)Lastly the bad dates we have found are manufactured on 21/07/23 and 30/08/23 and if you open a tin that is cloudy DO NOT feed this to your cat!Contacted Scrumbles who insist it's how their customers eg: Amazon, Pets At Home and Sainsburys are storing them, shifting the buck and won't even acknowledge that it's a problem their end they won't investigate this at all so the question is this, would you really want to be serving your pet food from a company who couldn't care less?
